With three chutes, spotting a capsule returning to the surface from a greater distance is easier for recovery crews but also serves to add redundancy - in the event of one failing the capsule will have a rough but still survivable landing. This exhibition features current work by the talented artists who make up the Fall 2015 roster of instructors at the Ceramics Program, Office for the Arts at Harvard. This expert group of instructors inspire students and engage them in developing critical and technical skills for making functional and expressive vessels, figurative and abstract sculpture, murals and works on paper.
Sky High Ranch Camp staff trained through each program area, including pond and arts and crafts activities.

The Kingwood Garden Club was at the Kingwood Library on Monday, March 13th for a special program about bees.
The presenter read a book to the children about bee hives and discussed how bees pollinate flowers. She emphasized that children should not fear bees. The garden club mentioned the declining bee population and talked about how planting flowers will help stimulate bee growth. Kingwood Library branch manager Ryan Fennell donned a bee suit while children viewed a collection of preserved bee specimens. Children planted flowers in pots to take home.
LegoLand Discovery Center presented two programs at the Library on 2/4. The older children built and raced cars.

USG successfully hosted the second annual Achieving Collegiate Excellence and Success (ACES) Summer Bridge Program from June 16-19, 2015. ACES seeks to support students and create a seamless pathway from high school to college completion.
ACES focuses on career preparation and exploration. Rising seniors from local high schools participate in activities that develop leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills essential for success in today's workforce.
Coaching and support will continue for ACES scholars as they pursue their education with Montgomery County Public Schools, Montgomery College, and the Universities at Shady Grove.
Many of these photos were taken by the youth themselves during a two week film program we facilitated in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut in partnership with the Pitquhirnikkut Ilihautiniq/Kitikmeot Heritage Society. The project produced six films - five mini-documentaries about local elders lives and climate change, and a documentary celebrating a Kamik (boot) making workshop.
