Fundamentally it is Peter Fleury's Pony-STK200 design (see: http://www.lancos.com/prog.html#avrisp). Though, I added the 5V Voltage Regulator and the PNP transistor switch to drive the Red LED.

In 1953, Shell Labs in Amsterdam was the first site in the Netherlands to use an electronic computer in a production environment. The computer was a Ferranti Mark I*, designed at Manchester University (with help from the legendary Alan Turing) and built by British company Ferranti. The Amsterdam model was called MIRACLE, for "Mokums (Amsterdam's) Industrial Research Automatic Calculator for Laboratory and Engineering", but some people nicknamed it "May It Replace All Chaotic Laboratory Experiments". My mother was one of its programmers and kept a photo album.

These programmers convert the code written on paper sheets into tape. The tape could then be read by the computer, to have the program loaded into memory.

The Arteries by Elif Ayiter

A never completed project from 2003.

It was basically intended as a virtual environment made up of anatomical illustrations from "Gray's Anatomy"., in which each chapter of the book created one complex node of image panels, placed inside highly reflective spheres. These being the bad old days, when non-programmers were entirely out of the loop as far as the creation of virtual environments went, it never got completed since I lacked the necessary coding skills. I cobbled together a flash version of parts of it at the time, that can still be viewed here:

Sept. 12 - Programmers' Day is an international professional holiday, recognized in many technology companies and programming firms that are celebrated on the 256th day of each year.

The number 256 was chosen because it is the number of distinct values that can be represented with an eight-bit byte, a value well-known to programmers. 256 is the highest power of two that is less than 365, the number of days in a common year. (This obvious is an inner joke)

A first grader at Philadelphia’s Harambee Institute of Science and Technology Charter School, she’s already more accomplished than everyone you know. Ball built the app in the Bootstrap programming language, and unveiled her game at FATE’s “Bootstrap Expo” at the University of Pennsylvania. Apparently some grumpy olds were suspicious that her older brother was really the mastermind behind the program, but Zora showed them. When asked to reconfigure the app on the spot, Ball showed naysayers what was up when she executed the request perfectly. “We expect great things from Zora, as her older brother, Trace Ball, is a past STEM Scholar of the Year,” said Harambee Science Teacher Tariq Al-Nasir.
