the whistler adaptive program works with both physically and mentally handicapped people, giving them the opportunity to see and experience all aspects of the mountain. i got to go out and be part of the program for the day.

BUILD YOUR OWN ROCKET: Middle and high school aged youth. After instruction in beginning rocketry, teens will build their own model rockets and launch them. Space movies shown while the glue dries! Launch days are open to the public. Four sessions in 2-week blocks:
Mondays, Tuesdays, & Fridays; the weeks of June 5 – 16,
June 19 – 30, July 10 – 21, and July 24 – Aug. 4. Programs begin at 3 p.m. Limited to 8 participants each session.

Traveled down to Chassell, MI to spend a day learning about "Leave No Trace," on the Sturgeon River.
