Y recientemente, después de la cosecha de tomate, sembré lechuga y cebolla. Fíjese que desde pequeña, la verdad, pero cuando estaba más antes de los 19 no tenía cómo trabajar, vaya. Después ya fui dándome una idea, ya me sentía más capaz de trabajar porque quería valor bastante. Las tierras son de un hermano mío, pero el me las presta para cultivarlas. La verdad que yo me siento feliz porque a mí me gusta bastante esto y cuando uno tiene problema, ya uno solo sale, por ejemplo, aquí en el repollal siento que me desahogo bastante”, explica. April 8, 2011 - The Class of 1963 met at the Student Success Center at Highpointe Apts to discuss the Bridge program between Tri County Tech and Clemson and also to listen to students and parents involved.
A 3-day (Jan 18-20) workshop on “Field Epidemiology & Laboratory Training Program” (FELTP) was held in Cappadocia with Twenty-five MoH experts in field epidemiology, early warning and response, and laboratory participated. The Event started with a high-level panel discussion on Integration of laboratory surveillance in “Epidemic Intelligence workforce system”. The panel members discussed on integrating in-country and regional health systems under one unified, rapid service delivery mechanism, with “Field Epidemiology Training Program” (FETP), “Early Warning Response System” (EWRS) and linkage with Laboratory services in adherence to International Health Regulations (IHR). Panelists discussed crosscutting integration of health systems under IHR core requirements, as well as the factors for efficient Health Logistics and Operations. The “Field Epidemiology & Laboratory Training Program” objective is to contribute to a workforce of excellence of highly skilled health professionals to strengthen public health surveillance and improve the quality and integration of laboratory services with epidemiology services in responding to public health threat including outbreaks.

The PUC campus is located within Rio’s Tijuca Forest. Therefore, a mile long stream runs through campus accompanied by some of the area’s wildlife. It is not uncommon to see small monkeys playing around on the rooftops. The campus is very lush and green and the stream has several small bridges for students to cross from one side to the other.
25 volunteers showed up for a fun evening of appreciation on Feb. 9. Volunteers gave close to 3,000 hours in 2016 and helped with completion of 30 projects and helping in the Seedling Tree Nursery.

Diego agresó del Instituto Nacional en Santiago y siempre soñó con estudiar en Estados Unidos. Luego de investigar diferentes opciones y recibir orientación y apoyo financiero por parte de EducationUSA, postuló al MIT. Tras cuatro años de estudios, Diego pasará los próximos meses trabajando con una empresa en Silicon Valley. ¡Toda la suerte en este nuevo desafío!
