The Young Ambassadors Program is a national, interdisciplinary leadership development program for graduating high school seniors aimed at fostering pride in Latino culture and promoting higher education while exposing students to the arts, sciences and humanities. The Seabiscuit program took place on August 2003 at Countryside.
Seabiscuit's former jockey lives locally and he described the world of thoroughbred racing in the 1930s when Seabiscuit was the “all-star” of all time. He shared a scrapbook filled with his racing career highlights and shared many memories. The library was filled to capacity that day.
