This is the direction the Year Clock graphics are now headed.
In a departure from previous versions, the graphics have been abstracted to make one version of the dial applicable to any year.
The new graphics depict the length of sunlight. With randomisation in colour and proportions visualising how weather and the perceived lengths of days vary.

really trying to develop a very Carl Liu-esque style (Carl is probably my favorite product design illustrator)
rough light pencil traced loosely with ink and then erased, scanned and rendered in photoshop. this one took about an hour collectively, but i'd like to get really fast at it. like maybe a page full of these in an hour. (unlikely)
Today, the trustworthy Braun shaver my dad has been using for years has died. This makes me sad. I now have no choice but to buy one of those ugly shit machines.
The previous owner snapped off the metal handle making the set unusable and obsolete, therefore i made a new handle and coloured the set to make it usable and desirable again.
"The project came about from my dissertation which looked at display vs. storage in the domestic environment. I came to the conclusion that people wanted to display items in their living rooms, but only so long as it didn't detract the amount of general storage available to them. So I came up with the concept of a display shelf that could replace the mantel piece in houses with false fires.
I chose Corian ® for two reasons, firstly I have a background in woodworking and the ability to work with a different material using many of the skills needed for woodworking was of great interest to me. Secondly the wide range of colours and patterns available meant that I could be very selective and get the perfect combination to make the piece stand out. The bright colours of the Corian ® act as a background to highlight the items displayed on the shelf, they also help draw people eye to the piece itself. The green section of Corian® slides open to reveal a small amount of hidden storage inside the shelf. As well as this there is a concealed drawer at the other end."
Stunning work from this independent school in Edinburgh. Superb use of advanced graphics techniques. Very impressive folio work and pupil displays. Jordanhill pupils will learn a lot from the work shown here.

The product seen here is a dress, skirt, bag, tunic, heater and a cowl at the same time... there are multiple varieties in which it could be used while walking, driving a bycicle, resting on the floor ... or being at very chiq 'alternative' event...
