This was an epic project. I bought a pound and a half of a gorgeous silk/merino blend from Shuttles and then dyed all of it myself using all the blues in my dye box. While taking my spinning wheel 101 class with Maggie Casey, we took home spinning wheels each week to try out. One week, I spun all of this during my evenings into a worsted/dk-ish single ply. I immediately made this sweater, but had phobias with the zipper (mainly because of my fubar attempt at a zipper once) …
SO THIS SAT IN MY WIP PILE FOR THREE YEARS.
Is there no greater procrastination than that, I ask you?
I finally got tired of seeing it, and finally sewed it in. The Chic Knits method didn’t work so much for me (the basting the zipper from the back), so I ended up using the Kristin Nicholas method, but instead of hand-sewing the zipper in, I did use my machine. I essentially pinned the heck out of it, then very, very carefully machine sewed it in.
Phew … that was anticlimactic.
Cosas que hacemos cuando deberíamos estar trabajando/estudiando or when procrastination happens to good people.
Today is a really nice sunny way too hot day, so why not lie in bed with your dog and pretend you don't have to study.
You simply can't procrastinate when framing your work for a show. A bike lock is not heavy enough to make cheap DIY frames square. Lesson learned. It did seem like a really good idea, though.
(final project)
the set up that i took photos of was meant to show the last minute, hectic procrastination that most students are doing right now (especially since it's the end of the school year). there's pens and pencils everywhere, textbooks and websites out, coffee and energy drinks on the table, etc. to express the frantic attempts of many students who're trying to finish up their classwork before deadlines.

The mystery still stands as to what is out there. This dull dark and and bright lighting without colour suggests the opportunities to get out there are running out.
Mental Health final is Thursday and I do not have the energy to study. Instead, I took a SP. I had no idea how bad my grey hairs were getting till now! Yuck! Someone's dying their hair as soon as this semester is over!!
