Here we see the hypochile, which is morphologically intermediate between Stanhopea and Coryanthes. The open portion, terminating the hypochile, is extended away from the junction with the ovary by a 'bridge', as in Coryhopea, but this bridge is comparatively shorter and wider. Stanhopea, by contrast, has the open portion joined directly to the ovary. Compare:

Here we also see bumps on the back of the hypochile terminus. I assume these are an incomplete form of the 'ribs' on Coryanthes macrantha; absent in Stanhopea. These appear on the part of the mesochile which connects to the 'bridge' of the hypochile under the 'helmet' of the hypochile terminus.

This is what I've been staring at for the past few hours, trying to summon the energy to do some work or the inspiration to procrastinate properly by going out and taking loads of photos. Sadly, neither happened, and I'm still sitting here, staring. Bah.

Secret 7 of 30: I procrastinate like it's my job.

It's the truth. all I ever do is procrastinate. I know the picture doesn't look like it would match the secret, but it does because while taking this, I was procrastinating. Even though I'm on spring break now I was going to do some homework. Every break, I leave it all until the last night. This time I have been trying to do some homework, but it hasn't happened so far. Maybe after this....One time I had to write an essay, and I had basically nothing done for it. It was the night before it was due, thankfully it was a Sunday. But all Sunday I procrastinated. That was the worst essay I've ever written, and the worst grade I've ever gotten on an essay.

This seemed to be the only picture out of all the ones I took today that I kind of liked, and originally my eyes were in the picture, and when I looked at them I thought they were looking outside. But when I looked again I realized they were looking sideways, and they looked creepy, and I got creeped out,so I just cropped them out.

This sweatshirt used to be my favorite sweatshirt of all time, and then I stopped wearing it. I don't remember why, but I just did...My mom and I had matching ones and then the child size didn't fit me so she gave me hers. I haven't worn it in forever...

i decided to take a bunch of pictures of my nightmare lamps. i have another that isn't as interesting.

two nightmare-things on my bed side shelf thing. a fragile (one horn from the sculpture is broken off) stained glass lamp, and a lava lamp.

Procrastination is no good. I've been putting a project off until I have time. Because that day will never come, I decided to get it done today. With the help of Sherri and Alex, I was able to get the shed painted. Nice! One less thing to procrastinate about.

Today I woke up around 11 at Haps cabin when we planned on getting out the door around 8 to snowmobile. anyway we got on the hill around noon and had an awesome day despite the rain.

I drove home that day and it was already dark :(

this afternoon my church had a potluck... which was quite delicious if i do say so.

afterwards my friend came over and while we were supposed to be doing homework we watched a really old cheesy musical and did not do homework... a common occurance.

so now i am paying for it.

i actually had plenty of time this whole day... suday's are usually the longest days out to the week for me, giving me ample time to do my homework... i, however, choose to sleep and watch movies.

so now i still have some homework to do and it is late.

thought of the day:

i love fresh laundry. The stuff that comes right out of the dryer so it is still warm and it smells delicious... i have some of that right now... i think i will lay in it.

So I have my last exam on Friday, and instead of opening my books I have decided to waste my day away playing with my beautiful girls. And here is a quick snapshot before the camera battery died. I could not resist sharing those two as they are sooooooo gorgeous together.

Big shout out to the wonderful Nurie for the lovely, stunning Klesis outfit. I am in LOVE and in AWE :O It's so beautiful in real life that I must make it a lifelong goal to collect all of her outfits T__T they're just divine and worth every penny. Anthony, I am in love with Luna now more than ever - she's quite picky with the wigs and outfits but I think I have finally learnt how to style her.

I cannot wait until after Friday's over and the exams are done and dusted before figuring out how to take proper, nice photos of the girls and do a big pic spam of the whole family :)

i've an essay that's two weeks overdue, so, naturally, i'm playing with flickr and my camera phone.

Okay, so here is my story ... busy day. Friend called to see if I wanted to play golf after work. Sure, I said. Didn't take my camera. Got home after our round and put my hat, three balls, a couple of tees, and a ball marker on the table at the front door. A few moments ago, I realized I did not have my shot for the day! Well, here it is. LOL.

I need more green apps.

Well I'm trying really hard to learn Mandarin but sometimes it just doesn't happen. Today was one of those days, I opted for watching a few movies as opposed to studying.

And yes, those books are children's study books. I am currently trying to learn 'bopomofo' which is the equivalent of our ABC... So far I know 'N'

For Christmas, Shannon got me a nice little Holga kit...

A few days after Christmas I went out and shot off a few rolls...

Almost a month later the processed negatives are still sitting on my desk waiting for me to do something with it.... Until then, Photoshop will just have make pseudo Holga effects to tide me over!
