In this image, we are looking at the optical path of lasers as they make their way through a carefully arranged system of mirrors before reaching the sample for measurements. My goal is to showcase the beauty of this setup—the precise alignment of components that allows us to direct the lasers exactly where we need them. The squared beam splitter in between which perfectly splits the laser into two directions, showcasing that nothing is impossible. My research focuses on studying the thermal properties of nanomaterials with a technique called as frequency domain thermoreflectance which is based on the principle of pump-probe spectroscopy. Understanding thermal properties is crucial for designing new materials that can manipulate heat flow, paving the way for future technologies with improved thermal management.

Between the weather and other responsibilities, I haven't been getting out for photo walks recently. Well, if you wait long enough, opportunity comes right to you. They're "Building A Better America" (and Strongsville) along Prospect Road at the end of our street. The $3.1 million construction project will replace a section of the storm sewer system that is under-sized and failing causing flooding issues for the homes in the area. It's scheduled to be completed late this year. Until then, I'll have photo ops galore within walking distance. I've always been a sucker for B&W street/occupational shots and this fills the bill just fine!
