Yaw string probe: 21" x 1/4" fiberglass rod (from driveway reflector), duct tape "standoff" at one end with yawn attached, wrap of electrical tape at other end to fit firmly in socket of mounting bracket.

The PCB from the Z803 microprocessor probe. The ribbon cable on the left connects to the input of the Z701 logic analyser. The 50 pin header is a general purpose input, the 40 pin headers are designed to be wired to a test clip that fits on top of the microprocessor under test. The 4 connectors are wired for the Z80, 6502, 6800 and 6809.

 

The ICs on this board are simple signal buffers.
