Building up a commuter for someone else and using mostly the parts I have lying around.

I have two pairs of these Promax P-1 V-brakes: 1 regular brake arm length (108mm) and 1 mini (85mm). They are great because they have 35mm (!) of brake pad vertical adjustability. The mini's are too short and won't clear the tire, so I mix-and-match the two pairs of brakes so the arms are different length. Now both tires clear easily. I will buy another pair of the regular length brakes so the fenders can be installed in the future, but the bike works now. I wasn't able to detect whether this affect braking power or not.

this is what happens if you don't clean off the salt of your bike every single time you ride it.i wash my bikes as often as i can.

this is why i use my 3900 instead of my fuel. salt ruin bikes and cars.
