I had borrowed a 75mm f2.5 from my favourite camera shop (shameless plug for progear in Auckland they are amazing!) to test with and was just walking around shooting street scenes in Newmarket. I had just shot a couple crossing the road and I turned to find Andrew watching me.
Turned out Andrew is a Leica enthusiast whos living here in NZ, having moved from London. He's a big fan of street photography and carries his M6 everywhere with him. We talked shop for a while and it culminated in me taking this portrait of him.
It was a neat chance meeting and it's great to meet other people who share the love of photography.
Title is rather self explanatory. A player ship in steampunk style, influenced by, among other things, Castle in the Sky, Progear, Otto Lilienthal, R.O.D the OVA, Cowboy Bebop, and Last Exile.
Digital sketch, working time about an hour while I watched a movie.
