Thank you Cris so much for sharing!
Center right is the Celtic spiral that I was fascinated with, as it started as a pagan symbol for Tanaris the sun god, but then was reworked as a representation of the Christian Trinity. Yes, I am a dork.
For my dear, old friend, Ron Keller!
This one was hard, Ron lost Susan Keller, recently, and I am remembering their wedding day, in Sedona, Arizona. Marilyn Feld Anderson took a photo of a photo at Susan's memorial service, which I used as a source to make this iPad painting. I used a beta version of ‪#‎iColorama‬, and Procreate, for this.
Procreate 2.1 is finally here and I can post what I worked on during the beta stage of "fire"! I always wanted to do a portrait of Sigourney Weaver, especially after the one I did of John Hurt last year in what will hopefully become a series of portraits of my favorite actors. I am also super psyched about the new "Alien Isolation" game coming out this october where Sigourney actually reprises her role as Ripley, 35 years later!!!
I used a photo ref of Sigourney of course, but I improvised the environment as a kind of love letter to the Nostromo spaceship set design, which is in my opinion still one of the most realistic sci-fi environments ever created on film. For a laugh, read the small post-it note on the left monitor. :)
Here's a timelapse for those interested:

Original Digital Painting with Procreate, iPad Pro, and Apple Pencil. 24 hours painting time.
This is my most complex, carefully crafted, work to date. The black grid and shapes are all hand-drawn and painted. The red yellow and blue fills likewise. The white overlays were added last and sit on top of the primary fills.
Because it was painted in layers, I also can produce the ‘Primary Variation’ - a version without the white overlays. Although this one is what I envisioned from the start, the Primary Variation may be the stronger image. Opinions welcome.

iPad Pro + Procreate
This image was made for a feature on mobileartistry on Instagram.this was the little text that came with it.
This idea came from the fact that I have been doing self portraits. It's a reflection on ego and beauty nowadays. I made my eyes and mouth bigger on elasticam on what looked like a clowny way. The surprise is that I ended up looking like a plastic beauty which is what we see a lot nowadays on tv, tabloid, and magazines. I then added the textures on procreate. Ran it through luminance and then photo fx.
The result almost look like it could be in a magazine which is funny because its supposed to be grotesque.
About me. My parents were from Argentina. they were both artists (photographer and dancer) and moved to paris where I was born and raised. I found my love and a home in Los Angeles. My obsessions are my family and my iPhone photos. Editing is what I do for fun. It's what keeps me sane through tough times. My meditation when I do it right. And what drives me crazy when I don't. My weapon of choice is the iPhone 5, and the iPad since I discovered procreate.
