KGVL-AM in Greenville, TX began as a Kimzey family operation. The station was founded by Truett Kimzey after World War II, who eventually passed it on to his son John Paul. The on-air studio in this picture was designed and built by Crouse-Kimzey Company (now ProAudio.com) and featured one of Buddy Crouse's custom consoles. John Paul Kimzey owned KGVL until 1992, and it is still on air today.
