I took one of my favourite pictures, 'Private', here in Feb 2013 and it would seem that little has changed. The sign in the boat house window from which the original is named is still there, as is the foreground boat (though a different one). The location is (in!) Lochan an Lasgair, Torridon and has another of my favourites, Liathach, as the backdrop. Having had such a rewarding sunrise at Loch Clair at the start of the day I was keen to see how the sunset would pan out. I was pleased to see the cloud which had been hugging the top of the mountain that morning was still present and there was just enough colour in the sky to add some interest.
3 day break between shows so I was able to take pictures in the neighborhood. This one was along the Constellation Trail. It's starting to get warm so now I am being a bit more careful where I step ... snakes!

A grizzly bear carries its salmon catch into the woods to dine in private, as it tears its fish apart. The bits of salmon left from its meal will support the forest ecosystem by feeding other creatures in the wood and adding nutrients to the soil. Chilko River, BC.

I posted a photo of this train a couple of days ago of this Conrail "Norwich Local" as it crossed the Chenango River south of Geene, NY. Here we see the train as it crosses one of couple of private driveways that lead to homes sandwiched between the river and rails. The railroad parallels a county road out of the picture to the right. None of these crossings required a horn warning, just the bell. That being said, you'd certainly want to check your surroundings before backing out!
I'm not sure that I noticed the "Keep Out Private" painted on the rocks when I took this many years ago, but it seems a great addition to the shot ...

This photo is really about the wonderful, pink sky just before sunrise. I had taken another dawn shot somewhere else this morning and was driving home when I saw this fabulous sky to the south. Fortunately, this was a gravel road just east of Mitchellville, Iowa, so I stopped and set up my tripod on the road and captured this impulse scene with 3 exposures to make this HDR composite.
