Tucked away in a little clearing deep in the conifers I stumbled across this little tree that seemed to be performing its heart out. Now I've got Tina Turner running round my head, only got myself to blame lol! Taken in Hillock Wood, Buckinghamshire.

Someone owns the property around this lovely pond, replete with migrating ducks. Located near Bishop, in the Volcanic Tablelands, a vast volcanic landscape that was formed over 700,000 years ago by materials spewing from the Long Valley caldera. More to come ...

The region near Achslach is one of the most beautiful areas of the Bavarian Forest. Lacking industry, it is the perfect starting point for interesting tours in summer and winter.

One of my favorite mountains, the Hirschenstein, is nearby.

A Slovakian private railway, Railtrans International operates these colourful Laminatkas in its expanding fleet. The locos were glistening in the afternoon lights while they ran in the direction of Murakeresztúr.
