this silly quilt is call 'meet the neighbours' and was made ages ago, but has spent the past year on a whirlwind tour of the states, hangin' in various exhibitions. when it turned up the other day (smelling vaguely of beer and cigerettes - what the heck do these quilts get up to when my back is turned?- it never emailed me or rang to let me know how it was, not even a bloody postcard) it was rather a nice suprise. it consists of ten of these panels, all buttoned together and i used some of my precious stash of vintage fabrics on it. i kinda like it, i guess absence really does make the heart grow fonder.
