Dinner, October 12. I don't often eat red meat nowadays, but this was very well prepared. There was a woman at my table complaining that it was rare. I didn't say anything, although I did want to say, "Well, that's how prime rib is prepared." Then a Canadian at our table said, "In the states they ask you how you want your meat cooked!" as if that was the strangest thing he'd ever heard. And so I felt a little justified though I was glad I kept my thoughts to myself!

The C-SPAN bus was hard to miss for the 6,000 attendees who watched the George W. Bush Library Dedication across from the event site in SMU's Intramural Field. Overall, the event drew 12,000 attendees for the morning ceremony.

As close as I could get, was shut when I got there.
