Lego Nemesis Prime - Masterpiece Brickformer (MB-01b).

Fully transformable without removing any pieces.

Look out for Lego Optimus Prime - Masterpiece Brickformer (MB-01) in the near future.

You can't build a Prime figure without a nod to Chris Roach . I have been meaning to build this for many years and there is no doubt that his Primes have influenced this build. Thanks for the inspiration Chris.

Me in the bolts

Like Prime's truck mode, this isn't transformable in anyway. It's just a box on wheels, really. But is sure does help the truck mode feel more complete.

A roe deer buck in its prime years. I saw him standing in a field very close to the backroad i was driving on. So i approached him slowly and came to stop only some couple yards away, surprised to see me he stood still for some seconds before jumping away, enough time to get some nice shots, the warm evening light adds some extra mood! We love campsites with a great view, especially when they’re secluded!

at Hunstanton seafront.

The theme of the week is "Prime" and since the moderators gave us some latitude on how to define the theme - I took it. This is the first time we've gone camping as a family (hence the PRIME-ary camping trip).

Interesting degree of difficulty here... its our first time camping (as I mentioned) in a brand new large 10-man tent (which I didn't bother to heed advice of other campers and have a trial set-up at home) in a downpour of rain in the mountains. That being said - we got it done and the four of us high-fived our accomplishment. (took us about an hour)

I also brought a tall pop up tent so we could put it over the fire-pit and still have a raging fire in the rain - gotta have a fire..

I took this picture of Myra, Zack and Drew (you can see them in the tent) after the rain slowed down in the night..

Probably the best Megatron to date?

This is the clock tower atop the Gallery of Modern Art in Glasgow. Clearly the outside of the museum does not match the inside, and in fact, the clock tower looks like it is seriously in need of work. This was shot many years ago, so I was using Google maps and street view to figure out where I found this tower in the first place. I had a hard time finding it, as nothing looked like it. I finally figured it out when I noticed that the street view showed one tower completely hidden by scaffolding and tarps. Apparently other people thought it was past its prime too!!

The straight shot actually has good light and looks nice, but I thought the rough condition of the structure looked even better using a beat up texture. The Raw image was first processed using Aurora HDR 2018 and then a filter was applied using Photoshop and Topaz Texture Effects 2.

Wandering around Hollywood Studios before closing one night I was walking past Prime Time Cafe when it struck me I did not have a single photo of the location. Fortunately even though it wasn't closing time yet, this area of the park is dead in the late evenings. I'm actually surprised a bit surprised I never had a shot until now as my wife and I always eat here as she really likes it. Oh well, one more off the checklist.

This was shot with the Nikon D810 and Nikon 14-24 2.8. I stood a ways back and used the Nikon 14-24 to try to get the whole building in. I succeeded in that but honestly I think I got a bit too much floor in the shot. If i were to redo it I'd probably get a bit closer and sacrifice a bit of the wall on the left while also shooting a bit more from the left towards the right. I also would have preferred a non-spinning sign. I actually shot a high ISO fast shot to stop it but once I saw it in Lightroom I knew it wasn't going to work for this image. I created the base of this image with 2 of my bracket shots, 1 being an underexposure to tame the highlights. I also spent a decent amount of time healing the ground as it was quite a mess. It's amazing what a difference a clean ground can do for an image and it's really easy to do, if not a bit time consuming depending on how bad it is.

Do you enjoy eating at the Prime Time Cafe?

The LEGO City energy plant is safe, now that Optimus Prime has arrived. Better luck next time, Decepticons.

Optimus Prime is articulated at the shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees, and features his trademark ion blaster. His truck mode carries two minifigures sitting side-by-side and features his classic G1 trailer (which, I'll be honest, is just a giant brick...but it looks good).

A sweet little trio of sparrows from earlier in the Summer. Happy Fence Friday, my friends, I'm dashing out the door but will catch up with you later this afternoon. :)

- www.kevin-palmer.com - In the summer this campsite next to the water at Lake DeSmet is usually occupied. But this time of year I had the entire campground to myself.
