A quaint cabin on a small island in Montana's Salmon Lake. Was surrounded by beautiful autumn foliage. Now that's some sweet privacy.

This concrete shed has a beautiful view of the Rappahannock River. It would be a great place to build a house.

This little chipmunk always visits my deck & seems to find the best places to sit & observe the garden, lol =) Best viewed large.

I didn't want to say anything but when the Acorn Woodpecker started accusing me of stealing its stash, I really had no choice but to point out the obvious. Mexican Jay with acorn in the Chisos Basin at Big Bend National Park.

A special picture for a special someone

Another poppy scene. This strip of poppies was taken on Saturday evening while out with Toby, the elevated land on the horizon is a chalk ridge where sits the village of Reed, which also happens to be the location and the name of the great vets we were taking Oscar too. Another interesting fact about Reed is that the Prime Meridian passes just east of the village close to the radio mast in the centre of the photo on the horizon, which set my old cog wheels turning. I drew a line from the location of the prime meridian in Greenwich park to the east of the village and on to Royston and would you believe that approximately where I’m standing taking this photo of the poppies.

Terrific Thursday to you.

I really like this image, not because the bird is doing anything really cool, but because it showcases the tricolored heron's breeding colors. That blue beak just popped and that red eye is amazing. Prime time, indeed!

Thanks so much for your views, faves and comments! Have a blessed weekend!
