It's not so pronounced but here one can see a bit of that famous defect which this lens is known for. What do you think Simon : ) ?

My prime of youth is but a frost of cares,
My feast of joy is but a dish of pain,
My crop of corn is but a field of tares,
And all my good is but vain hope of gain.
The day is gone and yet I saw no sun,
And now I live, and now my life is done.
The spring is past, and yet it hath not sprung,
The fruit is dead, and yet the leaves are green,
My youth is gone, and yet I am but young,
I saw the world, and yet I was not seen,
My thread is cut, and yet it was not spun,
And now I live, and now my life is done.
I sought my death and found it in my womb,
I lookt for life and saw it was a shade,
I trode the earth and knew it was my tomb,
And now I die, and now I am but made.
The glass is full, and now the glass is run,
And now I live, and now my life is done.

Something a bit different. One of my first shots with a big stopper, still trying to figure out what works...
A package arrived today with some almost 'last minute' Christmas presents, I always do my Christmas shopping 'just in time'. No, the cat isn't the present, although the fluffball has quite a lot of fans among family and friends, mainly because he is probably the most open-minded and easy-going cat on this planet. The first words of visitors usually aren't 'how are you doing', not even 'hello', but 'where is Tofu' ! :)
In his younger days we would frequently find Matty perched above a kitchen cabinet, or like some kitty sentry, atop of our home's front door. Thank you, Matty, for protecting us all those years.

Another one captured with the big stopper. Not too much processing, just some contrast and cropping.
I really like this image, not because the bird is doing anything really cool, but because it showcases the tricolored heron's breeding colors. That blue beak just popped and that red eye is amazing. Prime time, indeed!
Thanks so much for your views, faves and comments! Have a blessed weekend!

And it's a prime time
Maybe the stars were right
I had a premonition
It's gonna be my turn tonight
Gonna be my turn tonight

Working on a set of photos using different 'development' techniques for different moods.
This is color soft focus.
UPDATE
Since this is the 9th of Sept., I thought since I have nothing new ready to post today, I would bring back the post on my page 9 (some are private so may not be in your page 9 of my stream) with the least comments since many of you may not have seen this one.
