preview of a scifi-looking gun I made. Its all finished, I just need to figure out how to properly photograph it (since its rather big, and most of the detailing is black, which I really suck at photographing)

Rough preview of the cover design for the next book I'm designing/typesetting – the German edition of Arthur Krasilnikoff's novel «Hvalens øje». It's a novel in fragments, loosely (!) based on the author's own childhood memories growing up as a Danish child in the (Danish) Faroe islands in the 1940s; wonderfully written, unsentimental, concise, smart, and not always comfortable.
Cover features photographs by S. Lützen and Jean Tresfon.
The inside layout of the book will be based on «Nordlandliebe», so again TMF Patria for text. For titling, this time it's FF Legato! Two favorites in one book. Mm. :-)
The book will be published in Spring 2010.

I really like what Sota done with the face this time round on all three characters.
I've been testing my new 150w bulbs in my bedroom as well as using my soft snap setting on my camera.
A preview image of a set I'll be working on this week (with a followup shoot soonish). Say hello to Kenny Lush, a professional wrestler and current tag-team champion with the ECCW, a wrestling league that brings down the house in these parts.
Lighting info:
-- Key: two Kino flow banks on either side of Kenny with louvres focusing the light tight on him and off the background.
-- rim light: I put a Sunpak speedlight on a stand pointing at his head for the rim light
-- Background light: There is an existing potlight from above lighting up the grey concrete behind.
