Billiards? Pool by any other name.
They have a ping-pong table too.
We had a pool table once. We also had a ping-pong table. Which may be why there aren't too many "billiard" parlors left.
I had this one finished but didn't like it, so I added a whole other strip to one side and all of the sudden I loved it! It's amazing what a little change can do!
The plum blossom has been an important symbol in Chinese culture. As a “friend of winter,” the plum blossom most vividly represents the value of endurance, as life ultimately overcomes through the vicissitude of time. The fragrance of plum blossoms “comes from the bitterness and coldness,” as the Chinese saying goes. Souls are tempered in the depth of experience, growing in inner strength and unyielding courage.
Unity of culture and nature has been an important part of the Chinese tradition, and elements of nature embody important cultural values. The plum, together with the orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum, have been named the “four nobles” of plants by the ancient Chinese, each because of its noble characteristics, such as purity (orchid), uprightness (bamboo), and humility (chrysanthemum). Here's Baby Scarlett and her big sis, Angelina Molina--isn't that a lovely, sing-song name?! And what a happy, big sister smile: Like someone just handed her a living doll! (Remember the song, "Sisters, sisters, there never was such a pair of sisters...!"? My mom used to sing it to me and my big sis, Safety Vision accounting manager Rose Wheeler ... when we were fighting!)
my mom is an amazing gardener and i'll be making a book for her birthday with some of the most beautiful flower shots i just took while i was visiting her in nova scotia on the weekend :)
I loved this dress because of the meaning behind it. The black of the dress is the tape of three different VHS copies of Grease, Pretty in Pink and Pretty Women. Each of these movies talk about expanding outside of how you see yourself and how others see your self. However, because the dress is made of such constricting materials, it won't ever be possible to wear. And if we adhere to those restrictions and allow societal rules to dictate us, we'll be just as trapped and constricted in ourselves.
I hope that explanation made sense.

Very fun shoot meaning to look delicate & pretty.
You can see a hint of the backing here. A lovely older Joel Dewberry print. I love how it compliments the front but has a different feel.

I love this lil guy, got him from a gumballmachine, does anyone know what the symbol or word is on his head? That would rule, peace X)
This little spider did not cooperate with my photography efforts, in the least! I almost gave up, but persisted and, I think this one's not too bad.
