Like Totally Awesomely Fun Baby Shower for my old friend, Kacie.

See, Kacie and I became friends in the 7th grade. Apparently she was too cool for me when she transferred into our 6th grade class. We were full-on children of the 80s and have the bad hair photos to prove it.

Kacie LOVED the movie "Pretty in Pink." When I say "love" I mean L-O-V-E-D. As in, saw it at the theater every day for solid week and then about 957 times after that.

So, naturally, when I found out she was having a girl and several other old Jr. High friends could attend the shower, it was a no-brainer to me to try and combine all those things into one sophisticated yet fun 80s baby shower. I know. 80s? Sophisticated? You're thinking oxymoron, too, eh?

Get your oversized glasses with the gold initial stickers in the corner on and take a gander at these. Just make sure you take that huge comb out of your back pocket before you sit on it.

thx to my flickrfriend !ECOVOMA i now know what it's called..bromelia :)

Einzelne Rosenblüten trotzen jetzt im November dem Sturm und Regen. Diese hier habe ich doppelt belichtet und so eine ganz besonders zarte Rose kreiert.

The theme for this week (on January 23) is "BOKEH in PINK".

Kinda looks like a watercolor...happy Sunday. (you know I always like it in the lightbox).

I pulled together my Poppy Parker, Chip Farnsworth and Sean Harrison dolls to do a Pretty in Pink poster. They look sullen enough for a John Hughes movie, right?

This girl just posed for this shot without any direction from me :)

I love the bow in her hair and eye shadow which matches her hair and the purple in the scarf matching the highlights in her hair.

The way she has turned her head and looked down make the shot.

Nice reflection of her hair in the window behind her (shame about the white reflections though).

She was with another girl who was too shy to be photographed.

Très bien ensemble.

The theme for this week (on August 15) is "MINIMALISM on WHITE BACKGROUND".

There's such a fooled heart

Beatin' so fast

In search of new dreams

A love that will last

Within your heart

I'll place the moon

Within your heart.❤

She took a picture of my wife and me. I took a picture of her. I got the better deal.

Big On Black a must

The next theme, on Saturday June 21, is all about 'buttons'... more specifically 'buttons for clothing'... I've called it "BEHOLD THE BUTTON".

Stitched up for a movie swap--based on Pretty In Pink. I would have chosen Duckie.
