When I was still working, I would buy flowers for my team to brighten up our team area and to thank them for their hard work. Of course, I would buy cake, chocolates and cookies too

My photograph of a pretty pink mauve dahlia digitally enhanced for a pretty soft effect.

Dahlia is a genus of bushy, tuberous, herbaceous perennial plants native to Mexico and Central America. A member of the Asteraceae family of dicotyledonous plants, its garden relatives thus include the sunflower, daisy, chrysanthemum, and zinnia.

These remind me of Halloween, with their bright orange color.

OK, so I didn't really dream of flowers, but if I did I am sure it would look like this.

Brutus (puppy) loves to stampede through these, to get to the tomato plants and roll in them, until he smells like them.. :)

The queen of beauty and grace, and one of THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AVATARS AND PEOPLE EVERRR, in my opinion, in all of Second Life. Here, she is giving a seductive look over the shoulder, enough to tantalize all. ;) ♥

Seneca woman Ah-Weh-Eyu (Pretty Flower), 1908.

The Seneca are a group of Indigenous Iroquoian-speaking people who historically lived south of Lake Ontario, one of the five Great Lakes in North America. Their nation was the farthest to the west within the Six Nations or Iroquois League (Haudenosaunee) in New York before the American Revolution.

A Seneca oral tradition states that the tribe originated in a village called Nundawao, near the south end of Canandaigua Lake, at South Hill. Close to South Hill stands the 865 foot (264 m)-high Bare Hill, known to the Seneca as Genundowa. Bare Hill is part of the Bare Hill Unique Area, which began to be acquired by the state in 1989. Bare Hill had been the site of a Seneca (or Seneca-ancestral people) fort.

The flowers I had delivered to myself are doing well and smelling wonderful. Got to do something to cheer myself up during my coronavirus social isolation. It's not great living alone during times like this lockdown

Beautiful Blue Orchids

Valentines Roses as a thank you to my work team. I loved buying flowers for my Hampshire County Council work team to brighten our team area and as a way thanking them all for their hard work. They of course enjoyed cookies, chocolate and fruit too

Still life macro or close up photograph of a pretty pink yellow Pompon Dahlia. I loved the rhythmic patters this image offered with pretty colors and petal patterns.

My neighbour's tree

In this particular shot, I was looking for deep drama with soft shadows and a black background, placing the bright yellow against a dark background. The main source of light was the center of the flower. I took a light reading in the A (Automatic) mode and set the f\stop and shutter speed values to the M (Manual) mode for the purpose of controlling soft shadow effects. The shutter speed was 125.th sec. and f\stop was f\8. By increasing the shutter speed to 250th. sec. I deliberately under exposed the background causing it to turn black.

Fields of gold and beautiful light...

Long hot days and firefly nights...

Nature singing so loud and so sweet...

Your ice cream cones melting no matter how fast you eat...

Just when your so hot you miss Winter's freeze...

Out of nowhere comes a most refreshing breeze...

Summer is wonderful and it's beauty is true...

As this butterfly can tell you dancing on this flower against the blue...

~Wishing everyone a most beautiful Summer with ice cream drips and all!~ :)
