Chilling on the fly with my beautiful friend, Prettyflower. She is amazing, and we have been friends for at least a million years. I’m always anxious about messing up photos with friends because they are obviously the ones that actually mean an awful lot, but you know, I smile every time I see friendship captures. I love them! Pretty is a magical girl, a Fae Goddess, always up for an adventure, and a heartfelt chatter about things serious, and not! We gossip about boys, squealszz over cute puppies and unicorns, and drink wine regardless of whether it’s day or night! We call it combined human/Fae time, and I’ll say cheers to that! Pretty, you are without a doubt a sparkling gem in the crown of true friendship. 💕🌸 👑
Friendship is absolutely what adds the life to SL. Prettyflower and I have been friends for so long now that I can’t even imagine thinking of her as an SL friend. She is as real a friend as anyone could be blessed to have, and we have spent countless hours through the years talking and laughing and scampering about, playing dress up and drinking wine.
I often feel as if lots of people kinda like me, but nobody reallllyyy loves me, and well, I’m sure many people can relate maybe to feeling a bit like that. I know that Pretty is that friend who truly loves me, and I adore her. Oh, and speaking of flowers, nobody on earth can style up flowers the way Pretty can...she even dolls up her pups with whimsical blossoms! Such fun! 💕🍷🐶🌺🌸🍷💕

Display of flowers near the Castle, Caernarfon, North Wales.
Caernarfon is a royal town, community and port in Gwynedd, Wales, with a population of 9,852. It lies along the A487 road, on the eastern shore of the Menai Strait, opposite the Isle of Anglesey. The city of Bangor is 8.6 miles to the north-east, while Snowdonia fringes Caernarfon to the east and south-east.
Red & White Dahlia - Lucky our Dahlias survived the drought we had this Summer. Added a little texture to the background.
I love textures. It creates an entire new look and art. Spring is here where I live and I love flower season.

Daisy
Daisies form low rosettes of oval or spoon-shaped leaves with scalloped edges. The familiar flowers, with their rays of white petals around yellow centres, appear from spring to autumn.
The flower head is carried on a single stem. It is interesting to note that the flower head actually isn’t one single flower, instead the yellow disc in the middle is made up of a number of tiny flowers. This is also the case for the surrounding white florets – although these do look just like petals. Daisies can potentially grow up to 10cm high.
Photographed in situ, one of the pretty flowers on a lemon tree in my neighbour’s garden. He often kindly shares his crop with us.
Native to Asia, Citrus limon is a species of small evergreen tree in the flowering plant family Rutaceae.
I love that even the foliage gives off a lemon scent, not just the fruit.

Crazy Tuesday - Somewhere to sit
This is a child's vintage chair that I bought from a charity shop a while back. I popped on the vintage cup, some of my stocks and a napkin for good measure.I gave it a vintage edit to complete the look. HCT

This is a macro of the tiny, pretty little flowers of native honey myrtle, Melaleuca thymifolia. Unique aren't they?
The flowerheads contain up to 10 individual flowers and the conspicuous stamens are arranged in five bundles around the flower, each bundle containing up to 60 curved stamens.
Each flowerhead just 20 mm diameter.
Endemic to these parts, along the east coast here in New South Wales, up in to Queensland.
Usually growing to around 1 m in height, dense foliage.

A prolifically flowering and delightfully aromatic shrub.
Commonly known as mint bush, Prostanthera is a genus of around 100 species of flowering plants in the mint family Lamiaceae, and they all are endemic to this country.
This is specifically Prostanthera lasianthes x phylicifolia, Poorinda Ballerina.
These tiny flowers are just a few cm in diameter.

Gazania is a genus of plants native to South Africa. They do well here in Australia due to similar latitudes and weather.
Gazania tomentosa is a very hardy, sun-loving ground cover with attractive silvery grey-green foliage that forms a thickly spreading mat.
Held above on short, stiff stalks are these wonderfully bright and sunny yellow flowers.
A popular plant due to their drought tolerance and ability to withstand difficult environments like coastal settings and poor soils.
Flower diameter 6 cm.

Papaver somniferum is a species of flowering plant in the family Papaveraceae.
It is the species of plant from which both opium and poppy seeds are derived and is also a valuable ornamental plant, grown in gardens such as these pictured here, which I grew from seed.
The native range is probably the eastern Mediterranean, but is now obscured by ancient introductions and cultivation. It is now naturalized across much of Europe and Asia.

I'm growing a variety of Gardenia…six compact, evergreen plants that produce an abundance of beautiful, scented, star-like flowers in the warmer months. I have them placed in beds either side of the front door as a lovely welcome to visitors and for us as we come and go from home.
Foliage is darker in life than seen here, as I over-exposed slightly for artistic effect.
Plants within genus Gardenia are native to the regions of Africa, Asia, Madagascar and here in Australia.
Gardenia grandiflora Star, each bloom around 60 mm.
