As the sun blazed above the horizon on the morning after the blizzard, the pink rays of sun reflected off all the tiny ice droplets in the treetops. They shined like Christmas lights against the still-purple morning sky.
The power would remain out until just about 1:00 pm today, coming back just in time because the inside house temperature was barley holding above 40 degrees F.

my name is jeannette. one day i ordered coffee when i was with pressuredrop and they wrote JILA on the cup. now she calls me Jila, which to me sounds like some kind of horrible prehistoric reptile.
this cameraphone message came to my phone from Austin, TX. i might have to upgrade my media package to handle all the amusing cameraphone messages i've been getting lately.
This boat named 'Pressure Drop' pictured just off Te Amo Beach, Bonaire was presumably a scuba diving support vessel, judging by the equipemt that could be seen towards the rear of the boat.

Scenes from the Blizzard of January 2022:
For Cape Cod, it rained almost all night long. Then, just before dawn, it began to snow. For the first part of the day we got heavy wet snow that stuck to everything. By nightfall, as the temperatures dropped and the wind picked up, the snow had become light and fluffy. I watched the pressure drop over 30 mb over a 24 hour period, and with that, the intense wind delivered our predicted power outages. We lost power on Saturday night around 6 pm and got it back on Sunday night around 11pm. In our neighborhood, the storm snow total was about 16 inches.

I was hoping for snow but as often happens, Cape Cod got little to no accumulation compared to the rest of the region. While most of Massachusetts got over a foot of snow, we got only heavy rain and high winds. The wind was really intense overnight!
This is the the graph from my barometer app as the storm moved in. It shows the pressure at 8:30 on Friday morning at 1019mb. That squiggle in the middle is around 10:00 pm when the storm was RAGING, and the pressure had just dropped below 1000mb. By 6:00 am it was at 993mb so a pressure drop of more than 26mb in less than 24 hours.

Leica like document - birds hovering at least 8 minutes, never moved away. Insects? European lor suggests that behavior as this, are due to insects lowering because of pressure drops in the air. (little kodak cam)

Ok, when my powershot died, I got this free Sony which was cool and I'm not complaining, but Pressuredrop accidentally took it back to Austin and when I got it back she'd forgotten to put in the memory stick. No biggie. I ordered a $15.00 generic memory stick from Amazon.com.
I didn't want to carry my big camera on NY Eve, so i grabbed this one and realized super saver shipping on Amazon left me high and dry. I stopped at Best Buy and paid $35.00 for the Sony memory stick and hit the road.
Well... everything on this Sony stick is a big corrupted glitch. The $15.00 generic one arrived and works like a charm. PLUS it's pretty. Sony.... you just suck. ...and you suck that my cellphone takes a DIFFERENT type of Memory Stick. You need to just F off.
