We’re expecting a good little snow here tomorrow on the Jersey Shore. I issued a standard military warning order to Little Texas Aggie Drinking Bear (left), both A&M College of Texas Ring ’42, Jersey Shore Fightin’ Texas Aggie Ring, and Central Texas Gray Bartender Bear (far right).
I told them to be prepared. And, that we have a brisket point in the oven which will be ready in about 8 to 10 hours. If we loose power, we can eat it cold.
We have plenty of Maker’s Mark, sweet vermouth, and citrus on hand to make the old fashioneds, so we won’t go hungry.
Aggie Ring told Central Texas Gray Bartender Bear (far right) that he better muddle the fruit well for the drinks.
“There’s just something about Central Texas Gray Bartender Bear that I can’t put my finger on.” said Jersey Shore Fightin’ Texas Aggie Ring.
Mike dosed out the samples of coffee that we were going to try (three cups of each coffee). There was a Brazil, a Rwanda, an Ethiopia, and one other that slipped my mind.
To cup, the first thing that you do is smell the grinds in the cup. This is the 'dry aroma.'
This is the new prep area which we set up last year. This year we added another sink. We have hot water available for washing hands.

The preparedness packs include medicines and supplies to treat a variety of conditions, from trauma injuries to chronic conditions. Each year, experience and feedback from partners is used to improve the contents and packaging of the pack.
The versatile materials in the hurricane packs can also be life-saving during other types of emergencies, as demonstrated during the Haiti Cholera Outbreak.
Direct Relief is able to supply these preparedness materials only with the generous donations of several pharmaceutical and medical material corporations.
Any contents remaining after the hurricane season, ending November 30, are absorbed into clinic inventories to assure that the resources are used and benefit their uninsured patient populations.

I have been playing with a few of the spreads in my Seawhite concertina sketchbook I am taking with me to Spain. I did this when I went to Rome and really enjoyed working on some the prepared pages. The decorative papers were my Mums that she purchased and used for card making so it's quite nice to have her with me on holiday in an artistic way aswell as in my heart. The stencils are segments of a few I have collected over time.
You can see some of the other spreads I have prepared here:
