There I post more of my work.
Since Xmas here is Jan 7th, we are still preparing. Naomi finally showing off her new man (blank MJ head I painted, on a taller wider body from Aliexpress, generic clothes don't fit him at all..), who is quite tall, thus handy in decorating a tree! Brooklyn loves to decorate, so no complaints from her. Little ones being little ones, cats being cats.

just before she took off and flew at my lens and flash.
Wasps are fascinating insects and it is reckoned that for every pest insect there is a wasp perfectly designed to prey upon it. Without wasps, we would be overrun by pest bugs. Wasps are cool...

Preparing meals for customers. A shabby food joint for the so called "working class" in Srimangal.
Today is Labour Day and Germany has a day off. I made a little walk with my friend Stefan through the city to watch the Labour Day demonstration.
Now I'm preparing todays dinner, Spätzle (type of German pasta) with ragout.

Snowy Egret (Egretta thula) in a daily battle with another Snowy Egret over feeding rights to this tidal pool. The pair are great fun to watch as they are in constant chase mode until one finally gives in and moves to another location.

Recipe from www.australianflavour.net
Here i am working a knife inwards from one edge to make inside the steak a flat pocket large enough to take the oysters.
I changed my position for several shots trying to get the egrets backlit while returning to the nest.
I took this image of my friend, changing lens on his Nikon, with the pentax spotmatic and retouched with tangled fx on my iPhone 4s. Nice app!

R944 prepares to depart Koppers Chemical’s Stickney plant on the former Chicago & Illinois Western. This historically rich line is often dwarfed in popularity by the nearby Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago’s human waste moving operation. The C&IW served several quarries and industries between Chicago and Hodgkins. The railroad came into existence in 1903 and by 1907 trains were running to Hodgkins. In 1925 Commonwealth Edison constructed the new Crawford Generating Station and they utilized the C&IW to deliver coal to it. At this time Commonwealth Edison took over ownership of the railroad and the Illinois Central was made the operator of the line, with IC taking direct ownership from Commonwealth Edison by 1967. The railroad was operated as a separate entity until 1983. At this point, it was merged into the ICG and following CN’s purchase of the IC in 1998, we are left today with a few miles of the C&IW remaining active under CN ownership.
