This is my first real portrait about pregnancy, giving a follow up to a couple that was married and photographied by me the last year. It is a honor when the people is looking for you just to give continuity about things in their live and document every special moment. Comments are welcome!!!
If I could display only one picture of myself on my desk, this would definitely be it. I'm undeniably pregnant, but well-dressed, and enjoying everything about my gender and my pregnancy to the fullest. It doesn't get much better than this!
Back then (it now seems so long ago), my bump was a bit smaller, I fit into more glamorous clothes, and I could actually get dressed up for dinner out. Yes, it was fun, and I ended up with this wonderful picture to remind me of those times. It's who I am...and how I'd like to appear every day. So "Pregnant Mandy" has become my new avatar...and she is likely to remain as such, for quite some time!
But the baby has been growing, extra pounds came on quickly, and with the few dresses I can still fit into, I just don't look this stylish any more. Dinner out has become rare, and it's limited to an occasional fast-food place (though with the heat, that's not surprising.)

I took a photo every week of my growing belly during pregnancy - this is all of them together! (I missed weeks 6-11)
The last shot is at 40 weeks with the TENS machine on as I was in labour that day (and 2 days before it). I gave birth to Jasper the next day :)
