last Saturday I got a call from my cousin, telling me that I am going to be a godfather of their first child. I was thrilled. Later in the afternoon, I came by to her home. Took a photo as a remembrance of my 4th godchild... (no gender yet, the couple prefers it to be a surprise)

Well I am over half way and my bump has started to grow a little, I am desperate need of some clothes but have been lucky cause have lost a stone since I got pregnant so my normal jeans etc have fit, this dress I haven't worn for ages but it was very hot yesterday. I felt well enough to actually put jewellery and accesories on.

⦁ Every stage of pregnancy is a blessing, and she learned to embrace each moment one day at a time. This was her second pregnancy, but the journey felt completely different from the first. Her body was writing a new story, with new feelings, new cravings, and new challenges.

⦁ During her first pregnancy, she remembered craving pickles and Doritos, but this time everything had changed. Now she found herself wanting sweets more than anything. Foods she once enjoyed, like pickles, suddenly gave her heartburn and made her gag. The nausea came more often, she felt sleepier, and some days all she wanted was the comfort of having her daughter and husband close by.

⦁ She noticed a side of herself she had never experienced before. If her family went somewhere without her, or if she was resting alone, emotions would overwhelm her. Tears would come because she simply wanted them nearby. It was different from her previous pregnancy, but she understood that every baby and every journey bring its own path.

⦁ Her doctor reminded her to monitor her sugar levels because they had been rising. She laughed softly and wondered, “If my body is asking for sweets, what am I supposed to do?” She knew she had to find balance and take care of herself and her growing baby. Maybe this pregnancy would be more complicated, due to her carrying a little boy, but no matter what, she loved every part of the process.

⦁ Her body continued to change. She was gaining weight, her skin became more sensitive, and she felt new discomforts, including pain around her ribs. Some days were harder than others, but she reminded herself that these changes were part of creating life.

⦁ She followed gentle, natural recommendations, choosing herbs and ingredients that were safe for pregnancy and avoiding anything that could cause harm. She listened to her body, trusted her journey, and cherished every moment.

⦁ Because even through the nausea, cravings, tears, and discomfort, she knew she was experiencing something beautiful the miracle of becoming a mother again.

This about the time I found out that I have gestational diabetes. It's a scary time, but the baby is doing well, and moving A LOT. Just found out today that the baby is about 3.4lbs already. It's going to be a big one. It's been fun so far and I can't wait to meet this little person.
