Spotted Hyenas are some of Africa's most proficient predators. They kill 95 percent of their food. In Ngorongoro Crater, Spotted Hyenas are the main predator. They mostly hunt Wildebeest, Zebra and Thomson’s Gazelles.
A group of them can consume a 400-pound Zebra in 30 minutes. A single Spotted Hyena can eat at least 14.5 kg of meat per meal. Although they act aggressively toward each other when feeding, they compete with each other mostly through speed of eating, rather than by fighting as lions do. Latecomers to a kill use their massive jaw muscles and molars to pulverize the bones for minerals and fatty marrow. Hair and hooves get regurgitated later.

Die Predator lag im Hafen von St.-Tropez. Sie hat eine länge von 72,8 Metern und wurde dieses Jahr (2008) vom Stapel gelassen. Sie belegt allerdings nur Platz 74 der Superyachten. Würde mir schon reichen. ;-)

Random people. Taken a while ago in a pub. I think the guy's hair makes him look like Predator from the movie, and the lass's smile isn't entirely human - the Alien!
There are many different views on Zoo's and their purpose. Some say it's good for the endangered species and education, the others think it's simply taking away their freedom and locking them away.
Or the wishful thinking part, they don't miss the wild because they don't know what it is...?
Either way the lion couple seemed happy and loved up!

The leader of the Rogue Space Tribe, Spiked Tail is allied with the Armored Lost and Lasershot Predators. Spiked Tail’s unorthodox hunting methods and use of illegal weapons caused the exile of his team from Yautja Prime. Using stolen time/space technology, the Space Tribe can travel much farther in the galaxy than most Yautja. This has allowed them to advance pasthunting organic beings: they find non-organic mechanical beings to be more challenging prey and have modified their gear accordingly. Spiked Tail’s age is assumed to be considerable, thus many suspect that the robotic trophies he claims for ornamentation are actually physical enhancements necessary to keep him in capable condition. In addition to hunting robotic life, a mysterious rival Yautja, the pirate called R’Zor, has threatened several Space Tribe missions and thus he has also become a target.

The Predator is our run’n’gun stability kit for the Canon C100, C300 and C500*. The fixed LCD screen of the C100 camera particularly lends itself to this compact, simple kit. It is perfect for fast paced shoots and lightweight set ups.
The Predator starts with our Gorilla Baseplate. The rest of the framework attaches via a vertical post that connects to the underside of the plate via a quick-release ratcheting lever. A tripod plate can be installed under the Gorilla Baseplate via standard ¼ 20” and 3/8 16” screw holes. The Gorilla Plate has a 15mm port on the side to attach an accessory arm like the Standard Mount for our EVF. It also has two lightweight threaded rod ports on the front. You can add rods to hold a follow focus or mattebox.
The Predator includes an adjustable gunstock on a ball joint that can settle comfortably into the shooters chest to create a solid brace. The ‘handle’ portion of the Predator is ourC100/300 Grip Relocator. The Canon removable camera grip attaches directly to our Grip Relocator handle and our exclusive cable connects to the port on your camera. Once its plugged in, users have trigger or on/off control, lens aperture control, and a programmable function button that can be set to a number of things including waveform, 1 to 1 zoom, zebras, my menu, and many more. The cable is 24" long.
C100 Users: We recommend the Predator be used with our C100 Z-finder directly on the camera LCD. Our Z-finder will magnify the screen, cut out the light, and has a diopter to adjust for any eyesight issues. It also gives the user one more point of stability. *The Predator can be used on the C500 but you must have a C100/C300 grip for this kit to work.

Lest we forget that the great blue heron is a fearsome predator - this duckling was slightly separated from its parents in the reeds and the heron spotted it from 3m away. The heron took a flying dive and snagged this unfortunate victim in a flash. The duckling was killed and disappeared headfirst down the heron's gullet in less than 10 seconds after this shot.

This aged Predator rules his clan, but still finds time to hunt with his younger brethren. The mechanical dreadlock-tendrils attached to hsi armor are excellent weapons, totally unique among his kind, but can bludgeon or entangle even the toughest of prey. His mask is regal, even resembling the one worn by Lord, the first Predator to fight a Xenomorph.

The Predator can provide near real-time reconnaissance using a satellite data link system and perform attack missions as well. It served over the Balkans, Afghanistan, and during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. The most historic use of the Predator and Hellfire missiles occurred when CIA ground forces directed attacks against Al Qaeda forces during the opening months of the war on terrorism. Highlighted in this image is the nose of the Predator.

Wolf was a Yautja Veteran and relentless Xenomorph hunter who arrived on Earth to contain a Xenomorph outbreak in Gunnison, Colorado in 2004. Wolf is also the main protagonist in the Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem PSP video game, though this game is just an alternative story and is not canon.
where there are birds, there will be cats! thankfully the swallows in the previous pictures were too high up for the ginger cat to take one!
