A semi-automatic rifle with extreme accuracy, the HMR-25 is favored by many militaries as a battle-marksman hybrid rifle. In fact, it has been put into consideration as the standard issue DMR for the Greater Republic Armed Forces.
Derived by the KH-2002 and using parts of an SR-25, the HMR-25 combines the close combat capability of the former, while retaining the needle accuracy and hard-hitting power of the latter. The result is a highly versatile rifle that can satisfy a wide spectrum of combat roles.
To add to its versatility, a simple hybrid sight is attached to the top of the weapon - the user can either use a 3.5x magnification sight, or flick it off and use the regular electronic sights instead.
Other features include a 25-round magazine and muzzle brake.
Shot last weekend at Folehavna, Sandefjord, Norway.
This is the remains of an old WWII gun position. I wanted to do some monochromes of the remains and 1:1 format was what I ended up with.

4001 stands alongside one such relic during the 2017 Transport Heritage Expo.
Caught this Sand Martin in a fast low pass over the shoreline. Took hundreds of attempts to get this frame – sharp eye, open wings, and just skimming the sand. Shot with Sony A1 and the 200-600mm at full reach. Bird photography teaches patience like nothing else – and occasionally rewards you with a frame like this.

Lighting: Bare Alien Bee 800 outside the building to to camera right shooting through vertical slats, natural light through a large door to camera right and behind the camera. That same door light reflecting off of a concrete floor.

Personally, even if it is a promotional photo, I would have removed the lens cap; the first of a few refinements to the shot.

Any bass player worth their salt played a Fender Precision. Since 1951 the P-Bass has been the most popular bass in Rock, Country, Jazz and everything in between. Heavy as a boat anchor but plays like a dream. When Pam isn't home you can find me in my little studio rattling the windows. Such a blast to play.

I'm back with my SONY camera! I've been playing around with Timelapses lately, but here are some shots for the time being. These are the stunning-looking Sennheiser Momentum Headphones.
NS SD60's 6643 and 6662 sit stored at Norfolk Southern's Decatur locomotive shops. Following the implementation of Precision Railroading at Norfolk Southern, older power has been sidelined including SD60's, SD60M's, SD70's, C40-8W's, and even some newer power such as SD70M-2's. Hopefully these units will serve in revenue service again in the future, but for now they will sit idle.
