Being a moon-lover I can carry the Silver Moon and the Stars always with me, although it can be an obstacle when taking a seat at the table, as I found my moon and the stars in the soup or gravy where they should not be at all) 😄

Macro Mondays-The Periodic Table-Gold! (AU)
Gold is in Group 11. has a melting point of 1,064 Calvins. The symbol is Au and it's atomic # is 79. It boils at 2,970 Calvins and it is a precious metal. It forms in nuggets or grains, in rocks, veins and alluvial deposits.
When I lived in Canada I was an Exec. Secretary working in the Gold Mining Industry. This splash of gold is on my rock clock that you can see in the photo below. This is not fool's gold, it's the real deal!

The obverse of the Gold Maple Leaf features a bust of Queen Elizabeth II. The bust depicted the Queen as a younger woman.

Precious Metal is a custom-built racing aircraft based on the North American P-51 Mustang.
Design and development
Precious Metal was built by World Jet Inc., a company owned by Don Whittington, in 1988. Its fuselage, acquired from Tallmantz Aviation, was from a P-51D. The aircraft was fitted with stock P-51 wings, and its powerplant, a Rolls-Royce Griffon 57A driving contra-rotating propellers, came from an Avro Shackleton. In its original form, the Precious Metal was fitted with the P-51H tail from Whittington's original Precious Metal aircraft, and therefore also had the same registration
After many new modifications, Precious Metal returned to Reno in 2013. The modifications included a new streamlined canopy, many carbon fiber parts to reduce weight, as well as many modifications to the engine to bring it up to 3,200 hp. Thom Richard placed fifth in the Gold Class that year.
Precious Metal was heavily damaged by a fire days before the 2015 Reno Air Races. One of the ground crew noticed the fire while the aircraft was taxiing and signaled Richard to shut down the engine. Richard shut down the engine and escaped the aircraft, which burned for 12 minutes before firefighters arrived to the scene. It took 20 minutes to put out the fire, and by that time the airframe had sustained severe damage. After the fire, Richard stated that Precious Metal would not race again.
Under new ownership, Precious Metal made her long awaited return to Reno.

Lit by a tiny LED light. I maxed out the color saturation when processing in Canon Digital Photo Professional. ISO 400, f8 at 2.5 seconds. Canon 6D Mark II and Canon MP-E 65mm f2.8 1x-5x macro lens set to 4x. The actual width of this shot is only about 7mm to 8mm.

Amir Temur (aka Tamerlane) built this gold-encrusted maosoleum for himself but he died unexpectedly while traveling and his body never made it to the golden tomb. Samarkand was his home and because of that this city has the most elaborate, jawdroppingly gorgeous historic buildings.

Gold and silver were mined here but the area contained the largest deposits of copper ever found anywhere at anytime.
After mining, less than a 100 people remained in Jerome and it became known for a time as a ghost town. But locals turned to tourism and the town today can be crowded on weekends and hsa many established galleris, restaurants, gift shops, a mining museum and state park in this National Historic Landmark.
