I give you the place where the sea touch the sky,
where the sun the water is seduced by,
where on thousand pearly-drops fall
glittering stars on the sea, over all.
Kostbarer Augenblick
Ich schenk dir den Ort, wo das Meer den Himmel berührt,
an dem die Sonne das Wasser verführt,
an welchem auf tausend Perlentropfen
Sternchen glitzernd die Erde anklopfen.

Some stones are precious because they are reminders of walks along beaches.

The sun ignites the clouds below it
as if they, and the water, itself, were on fire.

Teddy is a Shetland pony available for adoption at New England Equine Rescue. He's very sweet and friendly, and enjoyed posing for some photos at the recent open house.

This is my entry for Macro Mondays this week.
Theme: (Watch)
I found one of my old watches languishing in a forgotten draw in a cupboard.
So I dusted it off and tried to be creative using some colourful leaves as a background.
I photographed this macro outside in the nice weather using a mirror.
[Time]
That was then, this is now
time flies past like I don't know how ....
If you blink, then it's gone
flying past like a scalded swan ....
So if this is now, and that was then,
well, I'm getting old like a fountain pen ....

Wird man sehen... ich hoffe es!
A long exposure taken across Belfast Lough at sunset. The suns silhouettes the Antrim coastline. With crepuscular rays fanning outwards and a light laden path across the water the dying light dances of the stoney shore.
This plaque was a gift from my firstborn grandchild almost 14 years ago. At about age five when four more grandchildren (out of the present 8) arrived he sat me down so for a serious talk. “Remember,” he said, “I am the one who made you a grandpa.”
The love that you bring
You bring me along
The pain that you give
Gives me a home
Do you wanna stay by my side
Do you want me to turn and hide
We are disappearing inside
Seeing pictures of our goodbyes
