This week's theme for Macro Mondays is: trinkets. I chose a small stainless steel pendant shaped like the earth. Inside it is a small bell so you can hear a very soft chime each time you move. I bought it as a gift to myself many years ago and am very attached to it. It may not be worth much but it is precious to me. Happy Macro Monday/ HMM

March is a wonderful month in Alaska. You can just feel spring in the air, as the sun radiates its warmth, and the days lengthen. We no longer need to keep the wood stove stoked all day, thereby saving what is left of the precious woodpile, after a brutally cold winter.
It is this time of year, that most rural Alaskan's start scoping out the forest, for the trees that will be needed for next winters fuel.
I found this on a beach near Stykkesholmur in Iceland a long time ago. Nothing much to look at but it feels as smooth as silk. I made it into a necklace using the naturally occurring hole. It is a reminder of a wonderful adventure in Iceland.

What a sweetheart they both was...You can see the love in those eyes. Saddens me to see their pics but really am blessed to have had them a long time and blessed with memories and pics
