I needed to make sure the spacing would be accurate as well as make sure it could corner properly. As all prebuilt bearing trucks use the 1x2 technic brick with 2 holes I shifted them to the antistud to move the axle to center. I'd like to move the bearings to new technic bricks with a single centered hole for my actual build. this also doesn't have the roof design built yet or underside detail.

Just a close-up of the amp. It's red vinyl, retro style. The amp itself is outstanding. It has a ton of prebuilt effects, its 60 watts, and it just looks pretty. After Lucy looked around in the new guitar store next door, she agreed she'd rather I own this one just because it didn't look like a giant black box like the others. Plus, I asked what I could get at the music store a few shops down for $200, and they showed me only off-brand 15-watt personal amps... I can't wait to use this!

This is the final 7th part of our AS3 Europa Walkthrough: the exhaust, covers, wires and finishing touches all around.

Just as with walkthrough 4 about the engine we have prebuilt the carburetors. We usually prepare a lot of carburetor sets at once and then keep them ready for the restorations. We will have a walkthrough about the carburetors in the future though so stay tuned.

This steel bridge, 120 m free span, 720 tons, (actually there are two, one each on either side of the existing railway bridge) was prebuilt on the site, and then, all in one day, they put it on wheels (lots of them) drove it across a motorway, onto a pontoon, hauled the pontoon across a canal, drove the bridge off the pontoon, across another motorway and onto its final destination. All the time the trains continued using the existing bridge, so I flew the kite over high voltage power lines, but it was a (cold) day with perfect flying conditions.

The 'Burning Man Project' is a yearly happening art festival in the desert of Nevada, USA. For one week 50.000 people create their own short-term living space, called 'Black Rock City', which then dissapears without leaving any trace. The 2007 theme, 'The Green Man', concerned humanity's relationship towards nature. Refering to this topic 'The Cone' created an interactive piece that made the users think about electrical power and its responsible use.

'The Cone' was made of a two layer structure according to the principals of russian engineer Vladimir Shukhov. The inner cone was fixed to a 70cm high base plattform, which also worked as an entrance from below, and the outer cone was twistable attached to the top and a bottom rail. Ensuring this flexible bearing the outer structure could be rotated by man power around the static inner one. Due to the filigree lattice construction method this overlap of layers created an atmospheric interference effect and especially inside 'The Cone' suggested the impression of being inside a giant machine.

The project started in November 2006. From April until July 2007 the structure was prebuilt in Karlsruhe and then packed for shipping to Salt Lake City. At the University of Utah essential parts were remade and at the 23rd of August 2007 'The Cone' was set up a second time at the 'Burning Man Festival'.

"I was building a shed for my neighbor. It was decided to prebuilt all the parts at a different location and was going to assemble the shed on his lot. Since the end wall were made of native stone, we put all the parts together and the roof was the wrong size for size of the shed. Way too small. This picture is of the revised roof plan"
