Taipei 101 to flash tricolour to mourn victims of Paris attacks
The Taipei 101 skyscraper, the landmark building in the capital city of Taiwan, was joining New York in putting on special red, white and blue lighting displays Saturday evening to mourn the victims of the series of terror attacks that occurred in Paris a day earlier.

As my symbolic response to the unjustifiable attacks on civilians in Paris last Friday evening, November 13, 2015, I post this photo from July 1998. Taken just days after France won the World Cup, it captures another more hopeful world view.
It is unlikely you could ever see anything like this in the Daesh the attackers and zealots were aiming to establish through the destruction of innocents.

I am French but I don't live in Paris. But luck to all Parisians, or those who have relatives or family there!
Pray for Paris! A slight glimmer of light this morning shines through the slats of my blinds. I am limiting how much media coverage of the horrendous Paris attack, I view.
It is in the darkest times where you can see the brightest lights. Let us hope that in these times we don't forget to live and appreciate the beauty of life, even if some people would not value the lives of others. Let us not be afraid of terrorists, for if we are they have won the battle. Let us show our courage by appreciating each moment of our life.
