During the "january 11th march" in Paris, The Bataclan was "Charlie"

Cities around the world are turning big buildings and major events red, white, and blue in tribute to Paris, which came under siege last Friday night from terror attacks that killed at least 129 people.

Here in New York City, I'm seeing so many places doing this. I think we have a special understanding and appreciation of what the French people are going through since we experienced terrorism firsthand on 9-11. I've been very impressed by the strength and determination the Parisians have been and how quickly, and effectively, their government has been responding to this unbelievable tragedy. The terrorism and hatred needs to stop.

I took this picture just a few hours before the assassination.

I still can not believe what happened and that I am not hurt. I am so sad for all the people that had to suffer or die, it makes me cry.

In solidarity with our French neighbours and in memory of the victims of the terrorist attacks in Paris on 13th November 2015. Freedom and democracy will triumph at the end.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the French people - Paris, France

On the day of the horrific attacks in Paris, the scene evokes, for me, the optimism in humanity despite the horrors man continues to inflicts on fellow man
