Here's a better shot of the East side of Cleco's Acadia Powerplant. Cleco 500kv, Twin 138kv and the New 230KV going up along with Entergy's 138KV
This old powerline to the cement works was demolished in 2015. Photo of this exact pylon while still in operation: www.flickr.com/photos/190699124@N08/52380272201/in/datepo...

The bottom circuit was upgraded in 1992 and the top upgraded in 1999 so not many of these poles have the original crossarms though few poles were actually changed.
Entergy concrete pole. Here in Louisiana it's not too often that Entergy uses that alternating design with the 69KV lines. However, in Texas this design is quite common as all of the old wooden crossarms have been replaced with insulators such as these.
Whereas the Lincoln Electric System had 34.5-kv subtransmission lines and 4160-volt distribution lines, OPPD had 69-kv subtransmission lines and 13.8-kv distribution lines. Looking south on 30th Street in Bellevue, Nebraska.
We hiked up a hill to where a powerline was situated. These powerlines are 120kv and soar above the road and hill. Standing beneath them, hearing the occasional crackling and buzzing, gives an eerie feeling.
"Ants Marching"
He wakes up in the morning
Does his teeth bite to eat and he's rolling
Never changes a thing
The week ends the week begins
She thinks, we look at each other
Wondering what the other is thinking
But we never say a thing
These crimes between us grow deeper
Goes to visit his mommy
She feeds him well his concerns
He forgets them
And remembers being small
Playing under the table and dreaming
Take these chances
Place them in a box until a quieter time
Lights down, you up and die
Driving in on this highway
All these cars and upon the sidewalk
People in every direction
No words exchanged
No time to exchange
And all the little ants are marching
Red and black antennas waving
They all do it the same
They all do it the same way
Candyman tempting the thoughts of a
Sweet tooth tortured by the weight loss
Program cutting the corners
Loose end, loose end, cut, cut
On the fence, could not to offend
Cut, cut, cut, cut
Take these chances
Place them in a box until a quieter time
Lights down, you up and die
