These used to belong to Slemco and even carried a 69KV line, but were acquired by LUS. The tops were cut of and the crossarms replaced.
Power lines from Sonoma geothermal power plants
by the way I hate power lines, but somehow I am fascinated by them.
While driving into town one morning, I noticed something very high on a power line. As I got closer, I noticed that it wasn't a bird, but a raccoon. He was about 200 feet off the ground - right in the middle of two power line poles. He was taking a break from the scramble that he was doing. After taking a number of shots I left the scene. When I came back later he was no where to be found.
Cleco used to have a double H-frame pole here. I think the city made them change them to these mono poles because they passed through front yards and parking lots. They were replaced all the way to the city limits. These were changed last December.
