Prototypes are tracked internally at Apple & are destroyed once they have fulfilled their testing purposes, this makes any prototype rare as they have somehow escaped Apples clutches. Originally there probably would have been a few dozen of these made. How many “AJ” Prototypes are left in the world today would be a guess, probably less a half dozen if that. This model was introduced to the public in August 1995.
Just testing to remove the faceplate. Sadly you don't get any colorfull extra faceplates like in the US... :(
Apple PowerBook G4 Titanium DVI 867 MHz, last revision of the Tibooks, late 2002. My "new" old one, bought for 100 € in the bay, in really good shape for a nearly ten years old notebook.
The power adapter for my old PowerBook G4, which died about a month ago. It was only 6 years old when its disk died on me. I loved it as it had a lovely big 17" screen which was ideal for watching TV and playing games (mostly hidden object games).
I have now inherited my husband's old MacBook Pro, and he has moved on to a Mac Mini. Well, ... someone in the household has to inherit the old stuff that my husband and son keep buying!
Taken with iPhone 3GS.
Entry for Daily Shoot 448: "Power plugs are ubiquitous. Can you make a creative photo of such a common thing? Try it today!"
Entry for Color My World Daily (BLACK AND WHITE day), Sunday 6th February 2011.
This is what a 17" Apple Powerbook looks like from the point of view of a camera that's just been thrown in the air (known as a "camera toss").
The camera (SE K750i) shutter was half-depressed to focus, then a quick flip and up into the air it went in my office, taking a picture of my PowerBook as it flew, which was nice of it!
We were spring cleaning our lab and I chanced upon this sweet box! It was from a time when the Apple logo had colors. By the way, anyone know why the Apple logo has a byte taken out of it? ^^. I was pretty excited when I found this. Does it even still work?

Sadly my crummy 13 inch Powerbook with broken keys has finally died. RIP Kalamaki. I was so proud of having that computer for so long, refusing to upgrade it because I hate Apple so much. It was a pleasure to be using my Thinkpad in the meantime but its too slooooow (even running my awesome Puredyne Linux system <3). I feel like a sucker to be excited about my new Macbook Pro but I guess I am.
Titanium port cover sheet flipped down; f.l.t.r. Firewire 400, gigabit Ethernet, dual USB, DVI video out, S-video out, audio line in, RJ11 modem port (ports not visible: audio line out, PCMCIA card, slot optical drive CD/DVD-RW)
Lovely lazy Saturday morning with email, Flickr, chatting and iTunes.
Also a bowl of this nice Kashi cereal that's like Grape Nuts with horchata instead of milk. Tasty and filling!
Powerbook painting in Karlin hall. This was (small) part of art exhibition Prague biennale 2. Notice the panties of the girl on the second painting :)
This is my first attempt at the elusive transparent screen trick. Sorry about the flash, but without it on the screen appears too bright.
