These are two of my favourite pots - I love the shapes. The pitcher with handle is quite old - antique? and the other one is modern.
They sit on my fire surround and for several days I'd been thinking they would make a nice still life subject because the light was falling on them in an attractive way.
I took several and then decided to see how they would look with my camera's 'Art - soft focus' setting, and I chose this one to post.

Spoiler: While making a big pot of sweet and sour cabbage soup, the reflection in the side of the pot caught my eye. I hope the dish won't run away with the spoon.

WIT: This is a plant pot in my home, which has some nice detailing. Shot close to a window, and in post, cloned out some light spots and cropped.

It's been a difficult couple of years. This is my first photo of 2022. Hope to get back out and take many more this year.

Facade still life in Catania, Sicily.
I love that wall colour in particular. It's the typical grey-ish plaster ubiquitious in and unique of that special city. On a second look you can see that thanks to aging there seem to be shades of almost any other colour in it! Just beautifull.
This is a photo taken through the bottom of a glass coffee pot, of a pastel painting that I did years ago of the famous Great Gallery pictograph in Horseshoe Canyon in Utah, which seems to depict a group of acolytes gathered around a deity figure.
The use of depth perspective foreshortening is amazing for something done possibly 1.5 thousand years ago.
