Two Jolly Royal Mail Posties stand together next to a Post Box at Barton,Lancashire, Postman/Women are working hard to serve the Public during this COVID-19 Pandemic ,photographed on 21/05/2020
A new posty, for Valentine's Day. I know I'm late! February is definitely the month of love for many. For me it's a time to focus on different techniques of practicing self love.
Credits here. Enjoy
A whole coconut.posted to me by my sister from the Cook Islands, just with the address and stamps stuck on it! That was in 1989, I've stilll got it and can still remember the posties face.
Once upon a time, mail was delivered in New Zealand six days a week, Monday through to Saturday by "Posties" - women and men riding a pushbike in all sorts of weather...!
Those days, however, are now long gone...
These days, the thoroughly modern NZ Postie drives a little electric vehicle (above), but has Service improved as a result?
No...!
These days, NZ Post deliveries are only made on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays one week, and Tuesdays and Thursdays the following week - and the cost of sending a letter is higher than it's ever been...!
No wonder people use E-Mail rather than "Snail Mail" these days...!
A very BIG "Thank You" for all your prayers and kind messages; they are very gratefully appreciated thanks...!
And thank you also for your equally kind and encouraging comments beneath my photos...! Without your encouragement, I'd have probably given up on photography years ago...!
25044 makes a rare sight as its got its boiler in operation, steam heating the TPO's in platform six at Derby on 30th Oct 84......This shunt duty was normally a peak as the TPOs were sat in the station for an hour or so being prepared by the posties ..you could even post a letter before it was attached to the rear of the 1V97 1615 Newcastle -Bristol mail.....Obviously with the temperatures being low on a winters night like this heating was needed, but this late in their careers, Rats with operational boilers were unusual....this being the last time i ever saw one steaming. The whisps of steam leaking from the stock was always handy to stand next to on a cold night....The train is being loaded up with mail for sorting hence the barrows on the platform making me stand in a less than ideal position....but i cant help feeling i should have composed it better ...Then again i was still at school so had lots to learn..!!!
This red letterbox has a regular collection Mon - Friday at 9am and then at 7am on a Saturday. I like these cast iron letterboxes that are in the wall, they have a unique character. Posties must have a rare collection of keys for the different boxes they open up on their round.

My second remix for the #NewHashima collaboration at #Bricktastic was a beloved #Town set from 1983.
‘Delivery Van’ (6624) only had 41 parts, but (mail) bags of personality!
Once again I’ve added a hoverbike in an attempt to take it back to the future.
The wee robin is a reference to Victorian times, where posties were called robins due to their bright red uniforms.

And another improvised night shot, since I was coming from work and didn't have the tripod. Sat the camera on one of the grey, metal lock boxes the posties keep some mail in for pick-up, as it had a flat top - just set longer exposure mode, set the timer, then sat the camera on top of that box in the street and hoped.
It means you can't really choose your angles, you are restricted to whatever angle you have from the object you sat the camera on, but it can be fun to work with that limitation sometimes and just see what you can get.

* ICE3neo z floty DB,
* żółtych Vectronów NS, które zniknęły z klasycznych składów wagonowych w Niemczech,
* chińskiego „Bizona” na Węgrzech [181 001],
* nowych Euroduali, które odbywały jazdy testowe przed oficjalnym odbiorem przez klienta (m.in. FLEX czy LTE),
* transport specjalny kilku nowych Vectronów dla OBB czy włoskiego przewoźnika InRail,
* wyjazd firmowego Dragona firmy Budimex (E6ACTadnb-072),
* złoty SETG (193 218),
* łotewski klasyczny „Fantomas” ze składem towarowym na Łotwie, * Pesa Gama 3.0 podczas targów Trako 2025
* 33. Finał WOŚP (EU160-033),
* Respect Energy na Vectronie Bahnoperator (193 569),
* firmowa poolu taborowego Green Mobility Partner (1293 201), /
* 24000 pojazdów z fabryki Siemensa (7193 626),
* Kierunek Europa (193 428),
* Stahl auf Stahl (185 077),
* Rolling Tones (193 123),
* Gemeinsam durch Europa by RTB Cargo (193 174),
* Galaktische Leistung – made in Munchen (7193 882),
* Sprite (EU200-003),
* Arctic Rider (2019 319-3),
* Królowie słowackich szczytów (193 131 - 193 135)
A Wy jakie macie najlepsze łowy 2025r.
Dziękuję wszystkim obserwującym moją stronę i zachęcam by w nadchodzących 2026 pojawili się nowi pasjonaci, którzy będą z miłą chęcią obserwować prezentowane zdjęcia.

On New Year's Eve, the last day of each year, many internet creators make a kind of résumé of their annual activities. I will also try to summarize my photographic achievements of the past year.
First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all those who actively follow my posts, respond with nice emoticons under the photos, and also point out factual errors, which, like everyone else, I also make. Thanks to this my fanpage continues to grow, and as an author, I maintain my standards and develop my skills by searching not only for interesting railway vehicles, but also for locations, mainly on European routes, as my website focuses mainly on news, curiosities, and colorful veneers.
I am closing 2025 with over 1.3 million views of my posts, of which there were over 350. Many posts had several photos, which gives nearly 500 photos from various corners of Poland and western/southern Europe. There were also posts from the Baltic countries, where I had the opportunity to visit during the summer holidays. In addition, I visited standard and well-known routes in Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia. Also I made the traintrip to Hungary to the mythical gorge near Szár.
Of course it is difficult to decide what was my best shot of the 2025, but I think that the photo that is the theme of this post will remain in my memory for a long time. The incredible opportunity to see the duo of “Earth” in my living area will probably never happen again. Also noteworthy is the presentation of vehicles such as:
* the ICE3neo from the DB fleet,
* the yellow NS Vectrons, which have disappeared from classic trains in Germany [relation Amsterdam - Berlin],
* the Chinese “Bison” in Hungary [181 001],
* new Euroduals, which underwent test runs before official acceptance by the customer (including FLEX or LTE),
* special transport of several new Vectrons for OBB and the Italian carrier InRail,
* the first rides of Budimex's company Dragon (E6ACTadnb-072),
* the golden SETG (193 218),
* the classic Latvian “Fantomas vehicle with freight train,
* Pesa Gama 3.0
Among the interesting Polish and European “veneers,” those presenting the following are certainly worth mentioning:
* 33. Finał WOŚP (EU160-033),
* Respect Energy on Vectron from Bahnoperator (193 569),
* Green Mobility Partner companies veneer (1293 201),
* 24000 vehicles from Siemens factory (7193 626),
* Direction Europa (193 428),
* Stahl auf Stahl (185 077),
* Rolling Tones (193 123),
* Gemeinsam durch Europa by RTB Cargo (193 174),
* Galaktische Leistung – made in Munchen (7193 882),
* Sprite (EU200-003),
* Arctic Rider (2019 319-3),
* Kings of Slovak's peaks (193 131 - 193 135)
What are your best catches of 2025? I encourage my @obserwujący and @liderzy wśród fanów to share in the comments one/selected photo that, in your subjective opinion deserves recognition.
Thank you to everyone who follows my page, and I encourage new enthusiasts to join us in 2026, who will be happy to view the photos presented. I hope that someday I will be able to convince the unconvinced of the content of my posts and encourage more exchange of ideas with active members, because for a passion to be worth continuing, it must also be based on a constructive exchange of ideas and opinions, and not just dry clicking or scrolling through the feed.
I wish everyone a happy New Year's Eve and good luck in the coming 2026.
Theirry has sadly passed away. I'm putting together a memorial for him on the net for his many friends around the world. could you please contact me regarding your photos of him ?

The outlook on all teens being violent, wounded or dangerous has been around for years, and much like every generation before this one there are some bad apples but for the most part, kids these days are just expressing themselves more openly than we used to. They tried to censor GenX (anyone remember the PMRC?) for the same reasons. I personally think that the kids today will help to lead us to a better future.

They're gonna clean up your looks
With all the lies in the books
To make a citizen out of you
Because they sleep with a gun
And keep an eye on you, son
So they can watch all the things you do
Because the drugs never work
They're gonna give you a smirk
'Cause they got methods of keeping you clean
They're gonna rip up your heads
Your aspirations to shreds
Another cog in the murder machine
They said, "All teenagers scare the livin' shit out of me"
They could care less as long as someone'll bleed
So darken your clothes, or strike a violent pose
Maybe they'll leave you alone, but not me

Watercolour artist Inga Bystram jokes with an RMT railway worker on a picket line outside London's Euston Station. On the first floor of a nearby pub, The Cock Tavern, (Phoenix Street 10 am to 10 pm] there is a free exhibition of hundreds of her watercolour sketches of rail workers, university lecturers and posties on various picket lines across the capital. They are arrayed in neat rows stuck to the walls with bluetack. Just ask at the bar downstairs, and unless there's a union meeting or other good reason, you will be welcome to see the display.
If you are unable to get to the pub, you can also see some of her work online via Inga's Instagram account
www.instagram.com/ingabystram/
Inga explained to the Morning Star that it was during the summer of last year that she started to paint striking RMT members "attracted by the colour and vibrancy of the picket lines as well as the friendliness of the pickets."

Jeden z plošinových vagonů dlouhodobě zapůjčily České dráhy, a. s., a kovářský vagon zrekonstruovala a dodala slovenská strana v čele s Nadáciou Milana Rastislava Štefánika a Klubom historickej techniky RD Zvolen.
