After road-testing (or should I say, pool testing) my new pink bikini, I snapped this with the natural light coming through my porch door.
Details from former Crown Post Office, Oakham Rutland. Now empty and unsaleable as with most of the closed Crown offices. What a waste. A lovely array of stamp vending machine E plates including an axtant Type D 50p booklet (originally 2s) vending machine.
This outdoor lantern was made for a business that is housed in a beautiful historic building here in Natchez.
Floreana Island; Galapagos
Post Office Bay is one of the few visitor sites, that is visited for its human history. Whaling Captain James Colnett established the wooden post barrel in 1793. At this time whaling was a big industry, ships were typically gone for 2 years at a time. Floreana was a frequent stop for these ships. Outbound ships would drop off letters after rounding the cape and the ships returning home would pick them up and delivered in time by hand.

Envelopes through the post/mail. Sad that these days they tend to be nearly all bills!
Worshippers enjoy lingering and talking with one another after the worship service in a small chapel in the Rhondda Valley of South Wales. Carmel Chapel is part of the Associating Evangelical Churches of Wales. This little chapel has a surprising number of young singles, couples, and children: quite different from most aging congregations in South Wales.
"And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers." —Acts 2:42
