Pinned to a post above Wimbleball reservoir on Exmoor.
Any ideas what beast this skull belongs to? Some good canine teeth there.
(On reflection I think it might be a dog's skull?! It would kind of explain why it's pinned to a post in a sheep-farming area; to act as a warning to owners to keep their dogs on leads?!)
Managed some post-injury bests with free weights tonight. A set of bench presses of 185 pounds and a set of barbell curls with 70 pounds. Yeah, those used to be warm up weights but it's a lot of progress since last June.
A fingerpost (sometimes referred to as a guide post) is a traditional type of sign post primarily used in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland,[1] consisting of a post with one or more arms, known as fingers, pointing in the direction of travel to places named on the fingers. The posts have traditionally been made from cast iron or wood, with poles painted in black, white or grey and fingers with black letters on a white background, often including distance information in miles. In most cases, they are used to give guidance for road users, but examples also exist on the canal network, for instance. They are also used to mark the beginning of a footpath, bridleway, or similar public path..

I have to give a shout-out to Veeborg and these two awesome cars he built that really inspired me:

Or I think the title could be "when nature calls!" Yes, from the little things to the unusual, we eventually see them all! LOL This toilet is sitting on a rock wall, probably built in the pre-civil war era. If you look close you can see what appears to be the bottom of a tennis shoe. So, I guess this means the toilet is posted against users and don't even think about it or... what ? You get flushed? Mmmm
Took a shot of a post... so I posted it... No post work, other than cropping. Thank you for your kind comments and faves.

Happy New Year to you all!
I'm pleased we made it to 2013 without the world ending.
Another image from my attempts at capturing water droplets. I used coloured straws for the backdrop this time and applied a colour negative filter in processing. To my eye I envisage a neon landscape within the droplet, a post apocalyptic seascape if you like.

SBB Cargo Class Re 4/4'' 11295 hurries through Ependes with the 09:43 container service 50717 from Lausanne Triage. The train had called at Daillens and was heading for Frauenfeld via Harkingen. As well as the Post traffic, containers for Dreier, SBB Cargo and MacDonalds were included in the combined traffic consist. The combined traffic concept is considered a growth market and the network of SBBC services may well see expansion in the years ahead.

The 2nd most north-westerly Post Office 3rd most north-westerly Post Office in the European Union, on the northern tip of the Isle of Lewis. Top honours go to Port PO, just a few miles up the road and Skigersata PO places 2nd. Found this review of Ness Post Office from 2008:
The Ness post office is the busiest of the 3 post offices in Ness. The main post-mistress is quick and reliable meaning you don’t have to stand in a queue for more than 5 minutes.
It is also a shop! It has many cards for every different occasion, postage supplies, packaging. There are lots of stationary items – pens, paper, and staplers which means not having to go over to Stornoway for these items. It is the only place in Ness which does the lottery and scratch cards as well as having an ATM.
Newspapers and magazines are delivered daily and there is a small selection of confectionary and soft drinks. It’s likely if you are after a particular item you will find it in this small yet great post office.

There's a slight hint of blue gelled strobe on the floor of the phonebox, activated by wireless trigger. I was about to shoot the scene again having adjusted flash power upward but rain stopped play.
