Bodie lighthouse again. I waited until the thunderstorms had passed, and thanks to my patience I was presented with this. My first and, so far, only photo session with the Milky Way.
The lamp post is an actual sculpture from the Halifax Waterfront, the rest is me playing around in Elements and finishing it off in Snap Art.
I was going to add a melting watch, but felt it would clutter the image too much.

Continuing my exploration of Killarney, I was really surprised at what you could find by wandering around. Lots of little scenes which were really interesting, but also a few big scenes which I wasn't expecting. Who knew you could find views like this in Ontario? I'll definitely be back here!

I need to go back down the beach as soon as I can and continue my grieving series. Making Driftwood creations really helped me when Sue died, and I'm sure will do the same after Maura disappeared. Post Yokhai is by Bo Ningen. I hope there are some beautiful driftwood pieces to inspire next time I go down.

Yes, it's a zoom-burst of a Chrismas tree. I didn't even move the tripod compared to the other shot.
The difference between those two is:
- No additional flash used here, so the tree remains basically invisible
- Higher f-stop
- As a little extra, I stopped the rotation of the zoom-ring 8 times during the 20s-exposure, in order to get the articulated little dots in the lines
- Slided white-balance and contrast for achieving the blue tones
