…… there were dozens of lilly pads on the water, but what caught my eye was this shadow of some grasses on the bank …. you can just about see some lilypads beneath the surface of the water …..
.... we're back at that gorge again, on the wooded hillside, where the river was rushing down from the hilltops over huge boulders which lined the gorge. This is a shot of a smaller rock on the river bed. The water was skimming it, and the sunlight on it, was making a fantastic liquid light show.
.... a close look at the reflections on the surface of the loch, blended with the bigger landscape ....
(I'm away for a few days, in a place very similar to this actually. Thanks for all your visits.... see you soon.)
this one's a bit grainy, but I liked the radiating shadows …. when I saw them on the water, they reminded me of images I've seen of the Hindu goddess, Durga ….

A needle point sample of tissue taken from an ascomycete fungus, as seen under a compound microscope. You can see the ascospores lined up in the tube-like structures (asci). There are 8 ascospores in each asci (this is usually, but not always the case, from species to species). The way the spores are 'arranged' in the asci often varies too.
