These are posts on a ginseng farm here in central Wisconsin. Ginseng takes four to six years to grow and needs shade. These posts will be connected by wire and then covered with a fabric for shade and the perfect growing environment.
Post Box on Anglesey I pass this every day when I drive out from the cottage it is so nice shining in the sunlight there are quite a few like this on Anglesey.

May 8, 2023: Ute Trading Post neon sign in Manitou Springs, Colorado. One source on the internet says the sign is from 1934. The actual trading post has been closed for years. I used the Bluristic App on my iPhone for about a 3-second exposure. The app allows me to lock one section of the image in place and blur the rest.

After a very hearty brick lane curry we had to have the obligatory picture outside the restaurant to cap off a great night.
It seems that after a loon has a preening session, they will usually flap their wings. Don't know what purpose it serves, but it makes for a nice photo op!

I love the yellow glow from the light, looks like a HDR picture but it just goes to show the dynamic range of modern sensors.
Took these for the DPS Assignment "Menu" but just realised did my homework wrong! Doh - no natural window light around here.. back to drawing board..
Purported to the smallest post office in the US, it operated from 1878 and 1953. So named for all of the postmasters that worked there of the same name.
At one point it was moved to the top of Whiteside Mountain, in the background, but was eventually moved to its current location near Cashiers, NC after being restored.
