New Jersey Air National Guard Composite Wing Flyby (KC-135 & (2) F-16s). This flyby simulates mid-air refueling. The F-16's are from the NJ ANG 177th Fighter Wing and the KC-135 is from the NJ ANG 108th WG.
Here I'm trying to align edges of a fabric. To make this easier, I place plastic sheet protector between layers of fabric and scoot fabric into place. I then place a weight on either side of sheet and gently pull out the plastic. The edges are now aligned for pinning.

Getting pretty close! This is a shot of the front of the uke a couple hours after spraying the final two coats of lacquer. Here's what's next: The bridge is still unglued at this point. It will have to be adjusted for height, positioned for scale, and glued on. The lacquer under the bridge will have to be gently removed to get good adhesion. The uke still needs to be rubbed out to a high gloss after about a week of curing. The nut and saddle still need to be shaped and slotted, and the tuners installed. Then I'll string it up and see what it sounds like!!
