I had the chance to shoot a new model and I'll be sharing this as a series.

This is the first time I'm working with a model repeatedly and I think you'll be able to see the progression.

I will be focusing on this series for a while, and I will also increase my posting rate for this occasion, so more content for you all :)

Big shoutout to my model!

This is the last of the shots that I took in Durham, I hope you liked them. Durham is a fairly local place for me and if I am honest I don’t go often enough. I have been reading Bill Bryson lately and he has mentioned Durham in a few of his books which really got me planning my trip there. He’s right when he describes it as the nicest small city on the planet. I wanted to photograph the Cathedral at Durham from the river. The shot you see here hasn’t really changed that much since Turner painted the scene nearly two hundred years ago and it has inspired thousands of artists and poets, myself included. I planned my trip in detail. I made sure the weather would be perfect. I studied the position of the sun. I researched the lie of the land and other peoples photographs. I took everything I thought would be needed with me. I hadn’t forgotten a thing and knew I had planned my photograph to the last detail. Then I stepped off the train in Durham and saw the scaffolding around the main tower and realised I couldn’t account for everything, typical. I still went and took some shots from the river. I hope you like them. I would appreciate any comments.

Found this pretty male bird at a forest preserve in Kendall County Illinois. Pileated woodpeckers are fairly rare in Northern Illinois, so this was an exciting find.

Life would be more beautiful if there were always such smiles....

This picture was taken long time ago back in 2011 I believe. I like Lee Jeffries work when it comes to black and white portrait. So, I tried his style a little :)

Each wrinkle a chapter, each scar a tale, his portrait a testament to resilience and grace.

Today, 20th October, you would've had your ninth birthday, but something unfortunate happened.

You were like a little brother to me, you were always there, you made my life better, you were just the best dog I've ever had. We had some of the greatest moments, and I won't ever forget about it, I won't ever forget you.

May you rest in peace.

Oh it's been a while since my last black and white photo. Experimenting with clothes on that one was pretty fun. I'm not a fashion photographer, but some of the shots from this series reminds me of iconic magazine shots.

I think you've seen enough of me, it's now time to see other people. I've been asked multiple times "Why don't you do portraits?" I actually do. I don't share them quite often as I like to propose something different, and during the past years, photographers around me seemed to mostly shoot portraits, so I kind of lost interest.

Thanks to fortunate encounters, I met wonderful people that allowed me to photograph them. Mostly strangers in the street, and more recently models.

I'm starting today with one of my best spontaneous encounters, someone that shared their past with me, something I really appreciated and I am selfishly keeping for myself.

INDIA - RAJASTHAN HOLI FESTIVAL & VARANASI 13-24 MARZO 2019
