Several works from PNCA's Children's Art Archive are being included in our Program's Portland Perspectives exhibition. 12 drawings and paintings will be on display during the month of March. This is one of the final round selections.
The Isle of Portland has a real "end of the earth" feel to it. I would thoroughly recommend it to any photographer. As well as two delightful prisons this island hosts many quarries, most now closed, which have given the world Portland stone. Just don't mention the underground mutton!
This is one of an absurd number of photos I took when strolling along a few miles of coast with the wife and kids the other day.
I live on the Devon coast, over twenty miles away. We have a saying; "When you can't see Portland, it's because it's raining. When you can see Portland it's because it's about to rain." Thankfully the rain stayed away all day and we were blessed with these wonderful clouds.
